PROMOUKRAPNA was founded in 2014 as a public movement of civil society in Alsace as a sign of solidarity with the Euromaidan and civil society in Ukraine. In January 2015, this initiative was created as an association governed by articles 21-79 III of the local Civil Code, which remains in force in the departments of Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and Moselle, according to the law on the introduction of French civil legislation of 1 June 1924.
The association «PROMOUKRAÏNA» is registered at the Register of associations of the Strasbourg District Court.
